Several new shipments of musical instruments have recently arrived at Gandharva Loka in Christchurch. These include a wide range of instruments from India, crystal singing bowls from America, tunable bodhrans and squeeze horns.
New Instruments from India
Gandharva Loka Christchurch has just received a long anticipated shipment from India. It takes about six months from when we place our order until when we receive the delivery as everything is hand-crafted and made to order.
But good things are worth waiting for and Gandharva Loka now offers new tabla sets, shruti boxes, harmoniums, sitars, tanpura, dholaks, digital tabla and a number of small percussion instruments.
Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls
Imported from America, Gandharva Loka’s new range of chakra tuned crystal singing bowls are made of the highest quality (99.992% pure!) quartz crystal – making them incredibly resonant. The tones produced by these crystal singing bowls are not just heard by the ear, but also felt in the body. Certain tones have a positive affect on the subtle energy centres (chakras) and this makes the crystal singing bowls particularly conducive to healing, balancing and meditation.

I want to purchase a (or two) flat aluminum closed-case jews harp(s) of the design by Andrea Bugari. Are these available any longer? (possibly a similar style or replica?). I have exhausted my imagination as to where to look. Do you have any information that would help?
Hi Rick – thanks for your enquiry. We will be in touch with you via email.
For anyone interested, the type of jews harp that Rick was enquiring about (the closed flat frame variety made by Andrea Bugari & Son) are no longer being made – at least not from Bugari who seem to have gone out of business some years back. There are a number of closed frame mouth harps available in plexiglass and steel and we will look at stocking some of these when we reopen.
anyone ever come up with a closed frame jaw harp the same or similar to the andrea bugari style made in aluminum?? Please?
Hi Rick,
Thanks for your enquiry. I have passed your message on to the store owners and I am sure they will get back to you.
Cheers.
I have a Bugari Jew’s Harp for sale, email me if you are still looking for one and I can get some pics of it for you.
Thanks for getting in touch Bryan. I will forward your details to Gandharva Loka’s managers – I am sure they will be in touch.
